São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Located in the central part of Henan Province, China, Daugang City is a county-level city under Pingdingshan City, which is famous for its iron and steel industry. It is located at the junction of the eastern remnants of the Furniu Mountains and the Huanghuai Plain, rich in natural resources, with a temperate monsoon climate and four distinct seasons. The name of the city originates from the Maoyang Iron and Steel Company, which was established in 1970. The city has a strong industrial base and is one of the important production bases of special steel in China.
With natural landscapes such as the Shimantan Reservoir, Dagang City combines both landscape scenery and humanistic history, and the tourism industry is gradually developing. The economy is dominated by industry, with agriculture and tertiary industries advancing in a coordinated manner. The city has convenient transportation, connecting major cities in Henan Province through a network of highways and railroads. With a population of about 300,000 people, mainly Han Chinese, and a dialect of the Central Plains official language, the pace of life is soothing, and it is an industrial city with characteristics in Henan Province.
