São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Located in the southeast of the state of São Paulo, in the Greater São Paulo Metropolitan Area, about 20 kilometers from the center of São Paulo, Marilus (Mauá), Brazil, is the fifth most populous city in the state, with a population of more than 400,000 inhabitants. As an important satellite city of the state of São Paulo, Marilus has become a major transportation hub connecting São Paulo to the surrounding areas, thanks to its favorable geographical location.
The economy is centered on industry and logistics, with a diversified system of industries such as automobile manufacturing, metal processing, chemicals, etc., which has attracted a number of multinational companies to set up factories. In recent years, with the development of the Greater São Paulo Metropolitan Area, Marilus has gradually strengthened its function as a logistics hub, and the warehousing and transportation industry has continued to grow, injecting vitality into the regional economy.
In addition, the city focuses on infrastructure improvement, with a well-developed road and rail network, and community projects to improve the quality of life of residents, gradually transforming from a traditional industrial city to a comprehensive city.
