Introduction to Bijiang, Guizhou, China

Bijiang District is located in the northeastern part of Guizhou Province in China, belonging to Tongren City, which is the political, economic and cultural center of the city. Located in the hinterland of the Wuling Mountains, the Jinjiang River, a tributary of the Wujiang River, passes through the city, which is named after the "blue water and green mountains", with a beautiful natural environment and a mild and humid climate. The area is about 1,512 square kilometers, with a population of about 300,000, mainly Han Chinese, but also inhabited by Tujia, Miao, Dong and other ethnic minorities, with diversified cultures.

Bijiang District has a long history, and was known as "Tongrenfu" in ancient times. It is the gateway to Qiandong and a transportation hub, with the Hangrui Expressway and Tongren Phoenix Airport connecting it to the outside world. The economy is dominated by agriculture, tourism and light industry, with abundant production of oil tea and traditional Chinese medicine, and rich tourism resources such as Daming Border City and Nine Dragons Cave, which are national-level attractions. Focusing on ecological protection and sustainable development, the locality is actively promoting green industry and ethnic culture tourism to build a city brand with characteristics of the Wuling Mountain Region.

Overview of Sao Tome and Principe (note on "Java")

São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
