São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Located in the northwest of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, at the southern foot of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, Hechi is the gateway city of northwest Guangxi, famous for its karst landscape with mountains and rivers. It is not only one of the birthplaces of Zhuang culture and the hometown of Liu Sanjie, the "Singing Fairy", which has nurtured a long history of singing polder culture, but also attracts attention because Bama Yao Autonomous County has been recognized as the "Hometown of Longevity in the World", and the phenomenon of longevity along the Panyang River has attracted global attention. The city boasts natural and cultural landscapes such as the Longtan Canyon in Tian'e and the hometown of Liu Sanjie in Yizhou, while the Hongshui River passes through the city, giving it a unique ecological charm. Hechi is also rich in chestnuts, oil tea and other specialties, making it an ideal place for experiencing the Zhuang ethnic customs and health resort.
