São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Taobei District is located in the center city of Baicheng City, Jilin Province, China, and is the political, economic and cultural core area of Baicheng City. Located in the west of Songnen Plain, bordering with Inner Mongolia, belongs to the temperate continental monsoon climate, four seasons are clear. As an important agricultural base in Northeast China, it produces corn, rice and other crops, and at the same time relies on the resources of the Tao'er River to form a characteristic aquaculture industry.
Tao'er District has a long history, as early as in the Neolithic Age there were human activities. Now has become an important transportation hub in western Jilin, Changbai Railway and Hui-Wu Expressway runs through the whole territory. In recent years, focusing on the development of agricultural products processing, equipment manufacturing and new energy industry, the economy maintains a stable growth trend.
There are ecological scenic spots such as Tao'er River National Wetland Park in the region, which attracts a large number of migratory birds every year, forming a unique ecological landscape. The region retains traditional cultures such as Northeastern duo and paper-cutting, and winter ice and snow festivals are unique. As an important node connecting Jilin and Inner Mongolia, it is gradually developing into a regional trade and logistics center.
