São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Mackenzie, Malta, located in the southeastern part of the island of Malta in the central Mediterranean Sea, is a small town with a blend of historical heritage and seaside flavor. It has a tranquil blue coastline with crystal clear waters suitable for snorkeling and fishing; the old town retains traditional Maltese limestone buildings with colorful windows and doors and winding alleys full of Mediterranean charm. Although not as well known as the capital city of Valletta, it has become a vacation backyard for locals because it is far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Surrounded by prehistoric ruins and medieval churches, the area is a testament to Malta's multiculturalism. Whether you're strolling along the waterfront or savoring a traditional honey cake, you can feel the charm of this small town's slow life.
