Morne Longue is a small settlement in the Caribbean island nation of Grenada, located in the parish of St. George's in the southwestern part of the main island. Although unofficially urban, it is known for its peaceful rural atmosphere and its proximity to the capital city of St. George's. The area is nestled in lush hill country overlooking the Caribbean seascape, and its typical tropical climate makes it warm and humid throughout the year.
The area around Morne Longue is predominantly agricultural, with plantations of nutmeg, cocoa and bananas, reflecting Grenada's identity as the "Spice Island". The area's proximity to natural attractions such as Grand Anse Beach combines amenities with ecological resources. Although there are no major tourist facilities, the simple community environment provides visitors with a window to experience the local culture.
With quick access to the capital city of St. George's (approximately 15 minutes by car) and the Maurice Bishop International Airport via major highways, this is one of the residential areas that connects to the economic center of Grenada. The low key lifestyle contrasts with the easy accessibility of this area for those seeking a quiet, rural Caribbean experience.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
