São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Ambato is an important city in central Ecuador, located in the eastern foothills of the Andes, at an altitude of about 2,577 meters, and is known as the "city of gardens" and the "land of fruits". As the capital of Tungurahua Province, the city enjoys a pleasant climate with an average annual temperature of about 18°C. The fertile valleys around the city are rich in agricultural products such as mangoes, grapes, and flowers, and the "Flower and Fruit Festival" in February attracts many tourists. The city is a blend of colonial architecture and modern urban style, with the San Sebastian Church in the central park and the handicraft markets around it displaying a strong local culture. As a transportation hub connecting the east and west of Ecuador, Arauci is both a center for agricultural trade and a gateway to explore the surrounding volcanoes and natural beauty, offering both tranquility and energy.
