Marcell is an important city in the Corrientes Province of northeastern Argentina, located on the Paraná River, about 800 kilometers from the capital city of Buenos Aires. As the economic hub of the region, Marcell is known for its agriculture, livestock and wood processing industries, and is surrounded by an abundance of soybeans, corn and citrus fruits.
The city was founded at the beginning of the 20th century and has grown gradually, relying on the water transportation of the Paraná River and the railroad network. The port of Macarena is an important node for Argentina's inland waterways, connecting it to neighboring countries such as Paraguay and Uruguay. The area retains its colonial-style architecture, and the San Marcos Festival, held every September, attracts many tourists to experience gaucho culture.
The city is surrounded by subtropical forests and wetlands, and the Ibera Swamp Nature Reserve is a bird-watching and eco-tourism destination. Visitors can participate in activities such as fishing and horseback riding, as well as enjoy traditional barbecue (Asado) and maté tea. In recent years, Macale is actively developing the renewable energy industry, with a particular focus on solar energy projects.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
