The transportation is convenient, with the Hatong Expressway running through the whole territory, about 120 kilometers away from downtown Harbin.

The county has four distinct seasons, with long, cold winters, mild and rainy summers, and an average annual temperature of 2.6℃. The main attractions include Xiangmashan Scenic Spot, Jigong Mountain Scenic Spot and Mulanda River Wetland, which are suitable for eco-tourism and leisure vacation.
