Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
Yantan District is part of Zigong City, Sichuan Province, China, located in the southern part of the Sichuan Basin and the Tuojiang River Basin. The area is characterized by industry, agriculture and history and culture, with a total area of about 468 square kilometers and a population of about 400,000 people. It is conveniently located along the beach, close to the Chengziluchi Expressway and the Sichuan-South Intercity Railway, and about 10 kilometers from downtown Zigong.
The economy of Yantan is dominated by the salt chemical industry, machinery manufacturing and agricultural product processing, and has been developing rapidly in recent years, relying on the industrial base of Zigong City. The area is rich in agricultural products such as rice and citrus, and is rich in natural resources. Meanwhile, Yantan is actively developing tourism, combining southern Sichuan culture and natural landscape to attract tourists.
Yantan has a deep historical background in the salt industry and is closely linked to the Zigong well salt culture. Attractions include the ancient town of Yantan, the scenery of Tuojiang River and the surrounding ecological parks, which are suitable for cultural exploration and leisure travel. The region has a mild subtropical monsoon climate with pleasant seasons.
