With a tropical climate and an abundance of natural beauty around it, including active volcanoes, coral reefs and World War II relics, this seaside city is a popular destination for adventure and history buffs. Kokopo is also an important hub for connecting to the neighboring islands, and the local culture is a blend of Papuan traditions and colonial history, attracting many tourists each year to experience its unique natural and cultural charms.
