Peabody, located in Essex County, Massachusetts, United States, is a major city on the North Shore of the Boston metropolitan area. The city covers an area of approximately 16.9 square miles and has a population of approximately 53,000, and is known for its diverse neighborhoods and rich historical heritage.
Originally known for its leather manufacturing industry, Peabody was one of the largest leather production centers in the world in the 19th century and was known as the "Leather Capital of the World". Today, the economy has transformed into healthcare, retail and technology industries with the North Shore Medical Center and several business parks.
The city boasts several historical landmarks, including the Peabody Institute and the site of a 19th century leather factory. Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
