São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Singkawang is a coastal city in West Kalimantan Province, Indonesia, located in the northwest of Kalimantan Island, along the South China Sea, about 145 kilometers away from the provincial capital Pontianak, is an important port city and regional economic center. The city has a population of about 200,000, of which more than 60% are of Chinese descent. Characterized by Hakka culture, the city is known as the "City of a Thousand Temples", and has preserved a large number of Chinese temples and traditional customs, such as the "Shankou Yang Chenghuang Temple Parade" held in February of the lunar calendar every year, which attracts a large number of tourists. The economy is characterized by fisheries, agriculture (palm trees), and other industries. Economically, fisheries, agriculture (palm oil, rubber) and trade are the mainstays of the economy, and tourism has emerged in recent years as a result of multicultural integration. The unique blend of Chinese culture with local Malay culture and aboriginal customs makes Sankhuyo a vivid microcosm of Indonesia's cultural diversity.
