São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Hriňová is a small mountain town in Slovakia's Banská Bystrica region, situated in the southern foothills of the Low Tatras (Nízke Tatry), about 200 kilometers from the capital city of Bratislava. With a population of around 8,000, the town is known for its fresh air and pristine nature, making it an ideal destination for hiking, skiing and eco-tourism. Surrounded by dense forests and winding mountain trails, you can explore the nearby Hryniova Reservoir in the summer and enjoy the neighboring ski slopes in the winter. The town retains its traditional Slovak wooden houses and is known for the warmth and hospitality of its inhabitants, as well as the rich cultural heritage of the town's annual folklore festival. As a small tourist hub in central Slovakia, Hryniová offers a perfect blend of natural wilderness and humanity for those seeking a peaceful vacation.
