São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
Amman, the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, is located in the northwestern part of the country and is the political, economic, cultural and transportation center of the country. Known as the "White City", this metropolis is famous for its unique limestone architecture, and the white houses in the old town reflect the hilly terrain, displaying a strong Arabian flavor. Amman has a rich history dating back to the Bronze Age, with monuments such as the Roman Theater and Citadel Hill testifying to its glory as an ancient trading hub, which still coexists today in harmony with modern skyscrapers and bustling business districts. As an important city in the Arab world, Amman is not only a blend of tradition and modernity, but also an open and tolerant atmosphere that attracts travelers from all over the world, and serves as a gateway to explore the history and culture of Jordan.
