Qiaojia, Yunnan, China: An Ecological Pearl and New Hydropower City on the Jinsha River
Qiaojia County is located in northeastern Yunnan Province, south of Zhaotong City, on the south bank of the Jinsha River, at the junction of Yunnan and Sichuan Provinces, and is an important gateway to northeastern Yunnan. The Jinsha River winds through the territory, forming a unique canyon scenery, due to the difference in altitude to create "a mountain divided into four seasons, ten miles of different days" three-dimensional climate, breeding a wealth of biological resources, known as the "grain silo in northern Yunnan".
