Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
Huiji District is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, located in the north of Zhengzhou City, on the south bank of the Yellow River, with a total area of 232 square kilometers. As the "northern gate" of Zhengzhou, Huiji District is an important area in the core demonstration zone for ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.
Huiji District, named after the Huiji Bridge built in the Qing Dynasty, has a cultural heritage of 3,600 years as the capital of commerce. There are historical relics such as the ruins of ancient Xingyang City and Jigong Temple in the district, which is one of the important birthplaces of the Central Plains culture. The Yellow River culture, the Shangdu culture and the farming culture mingle here.
Huiji District takes modern service industry as the leading industry, focusing on the development of cultural tourism, ecological recreation, high-end commerce and trade. Zhengzhou Huiji Economic Development Zone is a provincial-level development zone, forming industrial clusters such as food processing and intelligent manufacturing. As a national ecological civilization construction demonstration zone, it adheres to the concept of ecological priority development.
With ecological resources such as the Yellow River Scenic Spot and Zhengzhou Yellow River National Wetland Park, it receives over ten million tourists annually. Relying on the 30-kilometer Yellow River shoreline, Huiji District has become an important destination for Zhengzhou citizens' leisure travel and an ecologically livable urban area by virtue of its "North Quiet" urban functional position.
