Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. Wangyi District is located in the central part of Tongchuan City, Shaanxi Province, China, and is the political, economic and cultural center of Tongchuan City. The district is located at the southern edge of the Loess Plateau and has a temperate continental monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. With a long history, Wangyi District was once an important node of the ancient Silk Road, and is rich in cultural heritage and tourism resources, such as the Medicine King Mountain and the ruins of Yaozhou kilns. The economy is dominated by coal, building materials and ceramic industries, while agriculture is characterized by wheat and corn cultivation. The transportation is convenient, connecting Xi'an and many other places, making it an important hub in northern Shaanxi.
