Yuan'an County is located in the western part of China's Hubei Province, under the city of Yichang, and is situated in the transition zone between the mountainous regions of western Hubei and the Jianghan Plain. The county has a total area of about 1,752 square kilometers and a population of about 200,000, mainly Han Chinese. Yuan'an has a long history, is one of the birthplaces of Chu culture, and possesses a deep heritage of Rayon culture and Taoist culture. It is rich in natural resources, with over 70% of the area covered by forests, and is known as the "Green Lung of Hubei". Famous attractions include the Mingfeng Mountain, Linglong Gorge, and the Danxia landforms. The economy is based on the pillars of agriculture, tourism and phosphorus mining, and specialties such as yellow tea and mushrooms from Yuanan enjoy a good reputation. The transportation is convenient, about 100 kilometers from Yichang city, which can be reached directly by highway and railroad.
Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
