Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Taysi is a township under the jurisdiction of Yunlin County, Taiwan Province of China, located in the western coastal area of Taiwan, bordering the Taiwan Strait. The area has fisheries and agriculture as its main economic pillars, and is rich in marine resources, producing oysters, clams and other aquatic products, and is known as the "Oyster Township". Taysi Township has a flat terrain and a tropical monsoon climate, with a population of about 25,000, most of whom are of Minnan descent and speak Taiwanese (Minnan) and Mandarin.
