Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Jingtai County is located in the central part of Gansu Province in China, belonging to the city of Baiyin. It is situated in the transition zone between the Loess Plateau and the Tengger Desert, and is famous for the "Yellow River Stone Forest" and the Jingtai Chuan Electricity Irrigation Project. With a total area of about 5,483 square kilometers and a population of about 240,000, the area has a temperate continental climate, with little rain and a large temperature difference between day and night. History can be traced back to the Han Dynasty, an important node of the Silk Road, the Ming Dynasty built "Jingtai City" named. The economy is mainly based on agriculture, producing wolfberry, honeydew melon, mutton and other specialties, industry to energy and building materials as the pillar. The transportation is convenient, with G2012 Dingwu Highway and Baolan Railway passing through the city. Jingtai is an important ecological and cultural tourism county in the northwest of Gansu Province, integrating Yellow River culture, desert landscape and the remains of the ancient Silk Road.
