Pendleton is a historic town in Anderson County, South Carolina, United States, located in the northwestern part of the state, about 30 miles from the city of Greenville. The town is known for its well-preserved 19th century architecture and deep cultural heritage.
Founded in 1790, Pendleton is one of the oldest towns in South Carolina. The town center is home to more than 50 historic buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including the Pendleton Borough Historical Museum, built in 1826. Beitang is an important part of Liangxi District in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, located in the northwest of Wuxi's central city, which is known as "Beitang City" in ancient times, and is a famous historical and cultural area along the Jiangnan Canal. It is named after the ancient canal "Beitang River", and has been the transportation hub and commercial town of Wuxi since ancient times. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the rice market and cloth market flourished, and it was known as "Silver Wuxi, Golden Liangxi".
