Metu is a border city in the Oromia region of western Ethiopia, located in the border area with Sudan, situated in the highland zone with an average altitude of about 2,000 meters and a mild and pleasant climate. As an important commercial and transportation hub in the west, Mertu connects the trade routes between the interior of Ethiopia and Sudan.
