The landscape around the port of Moscou is typical of the Arctic tundra, with short, cool summers and long, harsh winters. With its spectacular glaciers, majestic mountains and unique polar ecosystem, it is an ideal location for observing polar animals such as polar bears, reindeer and walruses.
Historically, the Port of Moskau's economy was based on coal mining, but in recent years it has shifted towards scientific research and tourism. According to the Svalbard Treaty, the region enjoys a special international status, which gives citizens of the signatory countries the right to engage in economic activities on an equal footing. This unique regime has made the Port of Moscou a symbol of international cooperation and added a special character to its development.
