São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
JIANCHANG County, belonging to Huludao City of Liaoning Province, is located in the western part of Liaoning, at the northern end of the LiaoXi Corridor, adjacent to Hebei Province, and is an important node connecting Northeast and North China. It has a long history and has been a major town in western Liaoning since ancient times. It belonged to the state of Yan during the Warring States period, and was set up as a county from the Northern Wei Dynasty onwards, and was a military stronghold during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, leaving historical imprints such as the ancient city of the Warring States period, and the ruins of the Han and Tang dynasties. Rich in natural resources, with molybdenum, iron, gold and other minerals, as well as the Daqingshan Mountain, Longtan Grand Canyon and other natural landscapes, known as the "oasis of western Liaoning". Cultural heritage, Jianchang stilts, Jianchang drums and music and other non-heritage projects are unique, rich in folk customs. Agriculture is famous for millet, peanuts, walnuts and other specialty crops. In recent years, eco-tourism and green agriculture have developed synergistically, becoming an emerging destination in western Liaoning with both historical flavor and ecological vitality.
