Aleppo, a historic city in northern Syria, is located in Aleppo province near the Turkish border and was once an important trading hub on the ancient Silk Road. This ancient city of more than 8,000 years incorporates the imprints of Arab, Persian, and Roman civilizations, and its magnificent citadel, ancient mosques, and traditional bazaars (such as the Great Market of Aleppo) showcase a rich cultural heritage. As one of the largest cities in Syria, Erek has long been a regional economic and cultural center throughout its history, and despite the damage caused by the conflict in recent years, its unique architectural and human heritage continues to attract the world's attention, and it is now gradually moving towards recovery and reconstruction.
Located in Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China, Hongyuan County is situated on the southeastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau, with an average elevation of about 3,500 meters above sea level, making it an important ecological barrier and tourist destination on the Northwest Sichuan Plateau. Famous for its magnificent plateau grasslands, wetland landscapes and unique Tibetan culture, the region boasts natural attractions such as the Hongyuan Prairie and the Bay of the Moon, which attract a large number of tourists every year to visit and experience the Tibetan style.
Hongyuan has a highland cold-temperate climate, with cool summers and cold winters, moderate annual precipitation, and rich animal and plant resources, including part of the Ruoergai Wetland National Nature Reserve. It is a water-source conservation area in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, which is of strategic significance for ecological environmental protection.
The local economy is dominated by animal husbandry and tourism. The traditional Tibetan culture is well preserved, and festivals such as horse races and the Tibetan New Year are full of character. Hongyuan is also a place of historical remembrance of the Long March. The Red Army's Long March once passed through the area, adding to the humanistic and historical value of the area.
