Anning is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Kunming City, Yunnan Province, People's Republic of China, located in the eastern part of the Central Yunnan Plateau, about 32 kilometers away from downtown Kunming. As an important industrial city and transportation hub in Yunnan, Anning is famous for its rich phosphorus resources and hot spring culture, known as "Mantianchuan Treasure Land, Lianran Golden Square".
The city has a temperate subtropical highland monsoon climate with an average annual temperature of about 14.7℃. Famous attractions include historical sites such as the Caoxi Temple and the Fahua Temple Grottoes, as well as the Anning Hot Spring, which is ranked as the "No. 1 Soup in the World". There are also natural landscapes such as Qinglong Gorge and Fengshan Forest Park.
Economically, Anning is an important iron and steel and phosphorus chemical base in Yunnan Province, where large enterprises such as Kunsteel and Yuntianhua are located. 2022 GDP exceeds 66.1 billion yuan, and its comprehensive strength is ranked among the top 100 counties in western China. The city's infrastructure is perfect, with many highways and railroads intersecting here, forming a convenient transportation network.
