Viana, Angola: Satellite City and Economic Vitality Zone South of Luanda
Viana is an important city in the Angolan province of Luanda, located about 20 kilometers south of the capital, Luanda, and is part of the core of the Greater Luanda Metropolitan Area. As one of Angola's fast-growing satellite cities, Viana has a population of over one million, making it one of the country's more densely populated areas. The local economy is dominated by agriculture, light industry and services, with rich agricultural resources, while gradually forming a manufacturing and logistics cluster based on the radiation driven by Luanda. Lake Viana is a landmark natural landscape in the region, which not only provides recreational space for residents, but has also become a popular destination for eco-tourism.
