Queen Alia International Airport, Jordan: Jordan's gateway in the sky
Located approximately 30 kilometers south of the capital city of Amman, Jordan's Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) is the country's largest and busiest international airport and one of the Middle East's major aviation hubs. Named after Queen Alia, the late King Hussein of Jordan, the airport opened in 1983 and completed an expansion in 2013 to become a modern facility with an annual capacity of 12 million passengers.
