Located in southern Nebraska, United States, Holdrege is the county seat of Hall County, on the banks of the Platte River, and is an important agricultural and commercial center for the region. Founded in the 1870s and named for Robert Holdrege, an early railroad engineer, the city has grown to become a transportation hub for Southern Nebraska, with US-30 and US-283 intersecting the city, providing convenient connections to surrounding towns.
