Jari, Guinea is an inland town located in the eastern part of Guinea, belonging to the Kankan Region, near the upper tributaries of the Niger River, bordering Guinea-Bissau and Mali, and is an important regional trade node. As a typical West African agricultural town, Jari's economy is based on cultivation, producing rice, peanuts, millet and other crops, and the local market is active, with agricultural products from neighboring villages being distributed here. Most of the inhabitants of Jari belong to the Mandingo ethnic group, and are characterized by traditional handicrafts such as weaving and pottery, as well as West African traditional music and dance practices. Despite its relatively simple infrastructure, Jali plays an important role in the rural development of eastern Guinea by virtue of its location and agricultural base, providing basic business and livelihood services to neighboring communities.
