Firyang, Anhui: A Famous Historical and Cultural City on the River Yangtze
Firyang County, now belonging to Tongling City, Anhui Province, is located on the north bank of the Yangtze River, in the hinterland of the Anhui River Plain, and has been a famous town in the eastern part of the Yangtze River since ancient times. It was called "Tongcheng" in ancient times, and later renamed Firyang because of "many fir trees in the land". It is one of the birthplaces of Tongcheng School of Culture, and has been known as "the country of literature and poetry". São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé.
