Zhengning County is located in the eastern part of Gansu Province, China, under Qingyang City, in the Loess Plateau Gully Area, bordering Shaanxi Province. The county has a long history and is one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization, boasting ancient cultural sites such as Gong Liu Yi, the ancestor of Zhou. The economy is based on agriculture, producing apples, roasted tobacco and small grains, and is known as the "Grain Silo of Longdong". Zhengning is also famous for its red culture, and is an important part of the revolutionary base in Shaanxi and Gansu. The transportation is convenient, with the Yinxi High Speed Railway and Qinglan Highway passing through the city. The local folk culture is rich, and incense bun embroidery and shadow play are listed as intangible cultural heritage.
