Zhangbei County is located in the northwestern part of Hebei Province, China, belonging to Zhangjiakou Municipality. Located at the southern edge of the Inner Mongolia Plateau, Zhangbei County is an important ecological barrier and wind power base in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. With an average elevation of about 1400-1600 meters above sea level, Zhangbei has a moderate temperate continental monsoon climate and a pleasantly cool summer, and is known as the "back garden of Beijing".
Zhangbei has a wealth of tourism resources, including the famous "Grassland Sky Road" sightseeing belt, the Yuan Zhongdu ruins, Angulinao grasslands and other natural and cultural landscapes. The "Zhangbei Grassland Music Festival" held every summer attracts tourists from all over the country, while ice and snow tourism programs are carried out in winter. Local specialties include oat noodles, mutton, caraway oil and other agricultural products.
As a renewable energy demonstration area, Zhangbei County has constructed large-scale wind power and photovoltaic power generation projects, and delivers green power to Beijing through the "Zhangbei Soft Direct Project". It is also an important production base for agricultural and livestock products and an ecological functional area in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
