Yuping Dong Autonomous County is located in the eastern part of Guizhou Province of China, belonging to Tongren City, and is the only autonomous county of Dong nationality in China. With an area of 517 square kilometers and a population of about 150,000, Dong is the main ethnic group. Yuping has a long history and is known as the "hometown of the xiao flute", and its xiao flute production technology has been listed as a national intangible cultural heritage.
