Yanzhou is located in the southwestern part of Shandong Province, China, and is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Jining City. It is situated in the southwestern plains of Shandong Province, where the Beijing-Shanghai Railway and Yanzhou-Shijiang Railway meet, with convenient transportation, and has been known as the "Thoroughfare of Nine Provinces". As a famous historical and cultural city, Yanzhou has over 4,000 years of civilization and was one of the nine ancient states, once a major military and commercial town. Well-known attractions include the Xinglong Cultural Park and the Yanzhou Museum, showcasing the rich Buddhist culture and historical heritage. The economy is based on coal, machinery manufacturing and agriculture, but in recent years it has been actively developing its cultural tourism industry, blending traditional and modern elements to attract tourists to explore its unique charms.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims.
