Yanjiang is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Ziyang City, Sichuan Province, China, located in the central part of the Sichuan Basin and the middle reaches of the Tuojiang River. As the political, economic and cultural center of Ziyang City, Yanjiang District has a total area of about 1,632 square kilometers and a population of about 1.1 million. The area has a subtropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons and well-developed agriculture, producing rice, citrus and other crops.
Yanjiang has a long history and possesses many cultural heritages and natural landscapes, such as the Half Moon Mountain Cliff Statue and the Tuojiang River Scenic Belt. In recent years, Yanjiang has been actively developing its industrial and service sectors, with steady economic growth. The transportation is convenient, with the Chengdu-Chongqing Railway and highway network running through the whole area, connecting to major cities such as Chengdu and Chongqing.
With its unique location advantage, rich resources and livable environment, Yanjiang is becoming an important development engine in central Sichuan.
