Wuhou District is the central urban area under the jurisdiction of Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, China, founded in 1991 and named after the famous Wuhou Ancestral Temple in the district. With an area of about 76 square kilometers and a resident population of more than 1.1 million, the district is an important gathering area for Chengdu's politics, economy, science and technology, and culture and education.
Wuhou Ancestral Temple is an important bearer of the Three Kingdoms culture. As the only shrine in China dedicated to both Zhu Geliang and Liu Bei, Wuhou Ancestral Temple is known as the "Holy Land of the Three Kingdoms". The district also retains historical and cultural landmarks such as Jinli Street and Wangjianglou Park, blending the culture of Shu Han with the folklore of western Sichuan.
As a national science and technology highland, Wuhou District has gathered renowned institutions and research institutes such as Sichuan University and the Chengdu Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and created modern industrial sectors such as Wuhou New City and the financial and business district on Renmin South Road. Meanwhile, the urban living area represented by Yulin Life Circle and Parachute Tower Digital Business Circle shows the urban style of blending tradition and modernity.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
