Wuchuan County is located in the central part of China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, under Hohhot City, at the northern foot of the Yinshan Mountain Range, with an average altitude of about 1,600 meters. It has a total area of 4,885 square kilometers and a population of about 170,000 people. It has a cool and dry climate, and is mainly engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry.
