Wesley Weir is a seaside settlement on the eastern end of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, a British Overseas Territory. Adjacent to the famous signposted "Eye in the Sky", it is situated at the junction of emerald green hills and the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea.
The area is undulating, with tranquil bays and coral reefs. As part of the East End community of Tortola, Wesley Weir retains its pristine natural beauty, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and small, secluded beaches.
Wesley Weir is known for its secluded living environment and is an ideal stopping point for sailing enthusiasts and divers. The local architecture is mostly brightly colored Caribbean-style houses and the pace of life is slow, making it suitable for visitors seeking an escape to experience the native culture of the island.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
