Vevereska Bitiska is a town in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic, located about 30 kilometers east of the capital city of Prague. The town was formed by the merger of two historical settlements, Véverska and Bitishka, with a population of about 3,000 and is known for its peaceful rural atmosphere and rich cultural heritage.
The history of Vevereska-Bitishka dates back to the Middle Ages and preserves Baroque buildings such as the Church of St. Vaclav. Traditional local festivals, such as farmers' markets and cultural performances, are regularly organized, reflecting the folklore of the Bohemian region. Surrounded by forests and farmland, the town is ideal for hiking and biking, and is a perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The town is conveniently located next to the D11 highway, which connects Prague to the Eastern Czech Republic. Neighboring attractions include Konopišje Castle and the Sazava River Natural Area, enticing visitors to explore both the historical and natural landscapes. Although small, Vevereska Bitiska is a hidden gem of Central Bohemia with its long history and idyllic landscape.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
