Vancouver, the capital of British Columbia, Canada, is located on the Pacific coast, surrounded by mountains on three sides and the sea on the other, making it one of the most livable cities in Canada. As one of the most diverse cities in North America, Vancouver is a blend of Asian, European and Aboriginal cultures, with more than 50% of the population of Asian descent, and multicultural elements such as Chinese food and Chinatown can be found everywhere. The climate is temperate and maritime, with mild, rainy winters and dry, cool summers. Outdoor activities abound, with well-known attractions such as Stanley Park and Capilano Suspension Bridge Park attracting visitors from around the world. Vancouver is also the economic center of Western Canada, with developed technology, film and television ("Hollywood of the North"), and trade industries, and is perennially ranked among the world's most livable cities due to its superior natural environment and inclusive social atmosphere.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
