Utupua is a beautiful island in the Santa Cruz Archipelago in the southeast of the Solomon Islands, located near latitude 12°S and longitude 169°E, under the jurisdiction of Temotu Province. This volcanic island covers an area of about 69 square kilometers, surrounded by coral reefs, with dense tropical rainforests and crystal clear waters, ecologically pristine and pure, a secret place for diving and eco-tourism. The island's inhabitants are predominantly Santa Cruzans, preserving a unique traditional tribal culture and handicrafts such as canoe carving and traditional weaving. The economy is based on fishing and subsistence farming, and the tourism industry is still in its early stages of development, attracting travelers in search of tranquility with its nature and friendly human atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle. As part of the Solomon Islands, Utupua exhibits the raw charm and uniqueness of a Pacific island nation.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
