Kastrup is located in the east of Denmark and is an important town in the Copenhagen region, bordering the Øresund Strait and across the sea from Malmö in Sweden. As the home of Copenhagen International Airport, it is the main aviation hub in Northern Europe, with an annual average of more than 30 million passengers and connections to more than 100 destinations around the world.
Chisthorpe has a strong industrial and technological focus, with the headquarters of Carlsberg Brewery, pharmaceuticals and maritime equipment companies. The town's economy is closely linked to the airport's logistics and service sectors, creating a cluster of airside industries while preserving the traditional fishing community.
The town has a long coastline, sandy beaches and cycling paths, and the Øresund Bridge is a landmark. Visitors can visit the Danish Architecture Center or head to nearby downtown Copenhagen to experience Scandinavian design, cuisine and history.
The center of Copenhagen is a quick 15-minute ride via metro and train. The town's quiet neighborhoods and amenities combine a cosmopolitan atmosphere with Danish livability, making it an ideal stopover for both business and leisure travel.
