Located in the northern part of China's Shanxi Province, Shuozhou is an important city in the border area of Jin, Hebei and Mongolia, known for its coal resources and history and culture. As a typical energy-oriented city, Shuozhou is rich in coal reserves and is one of the important coal production bases in China. The city is under the jurisdiction of Shocheng District, Pinglu District, Shanyin County, Ying County, Youyu County and Huairen City, with a total area of about 10,600 square kilometers and a population of about 1.6 million.
With a long history, Shuozhou is home to many cultural heritages, such as the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda (Fogong Temple Sakyamuni Pagoda) - the world's oldest and tallest surviving wooden stupa, which is on UNESCO's World Heritage Tentative List. Yuyu County is famous for its ecological management achievements, known as the "Oasis on the Plateau". The economy is dominated by the energy industry, while the development of agriculture and tourism is emphasized, with specialties such as millet and oat. The climate is temperate continental monsoon climate, with four distinct seasons and cold, dry winters.
Transportation is convenient, connecting to key cities such as Taiyuan and Dazhong through the Daxi High Speed Railway, Tongpu Railway and highway network. Blending industrial dynamism with traditional culture, Shuozhou is a strategically important regional center in northern Shanxi Province.
Located in the southern part of Azerbaijan, Satre District is an important administrative division of the country, known for its natural beauty and agricultural economy. With a total area of about 770 square kilometers and a population of about 100,000, the district is situated in the belt of the Lesser Caucasus Mountains, with a mountainous terrain and a mild climate suitable for the cultivation of cereals and fruits.
Bordering on the Iranian border and about 250 kilometers away from the capital Baku, Satre District is rich in forests and water resources. There are several nature reserves in the district with rich biodiversity, making it an ideal destination for hiking and eco-tourism.
The economy is predominantly agricultural, producing wheat, grapes and nuts. Traditional Azerbaijani culture is preserved in the region, with handicrafts and folk festivals attracting tourists. The Satre district is easily accessible by road, connecting major cities and serving as an important gateway for exploring the south of Azerbaijan.
