Introduction to Kushka, Turkmenistan

Kushka is the capital of the Lebap region of Turkmenistan, located in the far southwestern part of the country, adjacent to the border with Afghanistan, making it the closest important border city of Turkmenistan to Afghanistan. Historically, Kushka was a trading post on the ancient Silk Road and developed into a military and transportation hub during the Soviet period.
