Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
Qiaoxi, Hebei, China, known as Zhangjiakou Qiaoxi District, is located in northwestern Hebei Province, the core area of Zhangjiakou's main urban area, at the intersection of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Synergistic Development Circle and the Inner Mongolia Economic Radiation Belt, and an important node connecting North China and Northwest China. The district has a rich history, with the Dajingmen, the Ming Great Wall ruins and other national cultural heritage units, as the "Zhangku Avenue" (Zhangjiakou to Kulun) starting point, was the hub of trade between China, Russia and Mongolia, witnessed the prosperity of the "Prairie Silk Road". In modern development, Qiaoxi District, relying on the Winter Olympics, improve the transportation network (Beijing-Zhangzhou high-speed rail through the territory), and promote the integration of "culture, sports and tourism", the surrounding Chongli Ski Resort, the Fortress Historical and Cultural District has become a popular cultural and tourism business card. At the same time, the regional industry focuses on new energy and high-end equipment manufacturing, and with the location advantage of being adjacent to Beijing, it is accelerating the acceptance of resources from Beijing and Tianjin to create a modern city that is pleasant to live and work in.
