Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
Nuanwuan District is located in the southwestern part of Keelung City, Taiwan Province of China, and is one of the seven administrative districts of Keelung City. The district is located on the banks of the Keelung River, surrounded by mountains and characterized by a warm and humid subtropical climate, with an average annual temperature of about 22°C. The name of the district originates from the phonetic translation of the Pingpu "Nana" community in the Qing Dynasty. The name of the place originates from the phonetic translation of "Na Na" of the Pingpu tribe, which was recorded as "Nuan Nuan Street" in the documents of the Qing Dynasty.
Nuan Nuan District has an important water resource system, including Nuan Nuan Reservoir, Xisi Reservoir and other water supply facilities, which are important water sources in Keelung. The Nuan-Dong Canyon in the district is famous for its unique sandstone canyon landscape, and the watershed of Dongshikeng Creek is rich in fern ecology, and is listed as an important habitat for Taiwan's broadleaf forests.
Nuan Nuan Railway Station is an important station of the Yilan Line Railway, and historical buildings such as the Nuan Nuan Shuang Sheng Land Goddess Temple and the Nuan Nuan Dai Ming Palace show the characteristics of Minnan culture. The annual Chinese New Year Festival carries on centuries-old folk traditions, and the Nuan Sports Park in the area provides recreational space for the public. Industries are mainly agriculture and sightseeing, and the mandarin stores and traditional workshops retain a strong nostalgic flavor.
