Located in the northeastern part of China's Qinghai Province and the capital of Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gonghe County, with an average altitude of about 3,200 meters, is situated in the transition zone between the Tibetan Plateau and the Loess Plateau. It is known for its magnificent natural landscapes, including attractions such as Qinghai Lake (China's largest inland saltwater lake), Riyue Mountain and the Inverted Flow River, making it a popular destination for eco-tourism and photography.
Republican County is a multi-ethnic area where Tibetans, Han Chinese, Hui and other ethnic groups live together in harmony. The Tibetan Buddhist culture is profound, with historic religious buildings such as the Shi Naihai Monastery. The local economy is dominated by animal husbandry, tourism and clean energy (such as wind power), with barley and yak products being the specialty products. Conveniently located at an important node of the Qinghai-Tibet Highway and Railway, it is suitable for exploring the highland style and cultural heritage.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
